I know that it has been radio silence over the past few months.  I have been busy moving!  And this time, not myself.  So I have had plenty to do, and not enough time to write about it!

Some time ago, my little sister D, my best friend and flatmate, decided that enough was enough and she was moving out into her own apartment.  I was in favour of this move but whilst celebrating the principle of the move – it’s time, it’s the logical next step etc etc..  I was also absolutely dreading it. First day I got back, I had a meeting at the flat to discuss setting up cable television.  I have been spoilt in my previous homes (well – apart from this one) because everywhere we have been so far we have been in charge of our own destiny so to speak.  In other words, the dish or cable came into our house, and that was the end of that.  We could watch stuff whilst recording other stuff, and generally be TV happy.  Now though we are attached to a communal dish.  Read the rest of this entry »

Having been in this flat for 6 months, finally sussing out the ins and outs of the building and its environs, I am about to move again.  This time it is the last move in reverse.  Last time I moved, I was moving from a big place to a small place.  Now I am moving from a small place to a big place.  In theory, this should be fairly simple.  Get all of our furniture and stuff out of storage, find a spot for it in the new place.   Tell D that we no longer have space issues and watch her fill up the new place at an alarming rate.
